09 DECEMBER 2011 - PHOENIX, AZ: A Christmas wreath on a veteran's grave in the National Cemetery in Phoenix. Several hundred volunteers and veterans gathered at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix Saturday to lay Christmas wreaths on headstones, a tradition started by Wreaths Across America. Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery begun by Maine businessman, Morrill Worcester, in 1992.
