08 MAY 2010 - PATHUM THANI, THAILAND: Workers load rice into trucks at the J&D Rice Group Ltd warehouse in Pathum Thani, about 30 miles north of Bangkok, Thailand. According to the UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO),Thailand's rice harvest is expected to be reduced by about 16% this year because of a persistent drought across the country but most pronounced in the northeast region of Thailand. A spokesperson for J&D said they get rice from across Thailand and so far there haven't been any shortages. J&D exports all of their rice China. PHOTO BY JACK KURTZ
