23 NOVEMBER 2020 - DES MOINES, IOWA: A volunteer checks in people picking food packages before a Thanksgiving food distribution at a park in Des Moines during a snowstorm. The food distribution was organized by Urban Dreams, a community empowerment NGO in central Des Moines, and the NAACP. The food was provided by Hy-Vee, a regional grocery store chain based in Des Moines. They had about 450 meals available. A spokesperson for Hy-Vee said the company was giving away more than 20,000 Thanksgiving meals this year.
