Political parties are wrapping up their campaigns in Myanmar (Burma). National elections are scheduled for Sunday Nov. 8. The two principal parties are the National League for Democracy (NLD), the party of democracy icon and Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi, and the ruling Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP), led by incumbent President Thein Sein.
