14 JANUARY 2019 - BANGKOK, THAILAND: A woman wearing a dust filter breathig mask photographs the Bangkok skyline with her smartphone. Bangkok has been blanketed by heavily polluted air for almost a week. Monday morning, the AQI (Air Quality Index) for Bangkok was 182, worse than New Delhi, Jakarta, or Beijing. The Saphan Kwai neighborhood of Bangkok recorded an AQI of 370 and the Lat Yao neighborhood recorded an AQI of 403. An AQI above 50 is considered unsafe.
