27 NOVEMBER 2017 - YANGON, MYANMAR: Women with Myanmar and Vatican flags wait to see Pope Francis on his motorcade route into Yangon. Pope Francis arrived in Yangon Monday for a four day / three night visit. Tuesday he is going to the capitol, Naypyidaw (Nay Pyi Taw) to meet with Aung San Suu Kyi and other Myanmar leaders. Wednesday and Thursday he is saying mass in Yangon and on Thursday afternoon he is going to neighboring Bangladesh. There are around 450,000 Catholics in Burma, about 1% of the total population.
