Mar. 28, 2010 - BANGKOK, THAILAND: The Red Shirts' sound truck is reflected in the sunglasses of a Royal Thai police officer standing guard against Red Shirt protestors at the 11th Infantry Regiment's barracks in Bangkok Sunday. More than 10,000 anti government Red Shirt protestor picketed the entrance to the Royal Thai Army's 11th Infantry Regiment Sunday in a continuation of protests that started March 21. The Red Shirts won a key victory Sunday when Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva agreed to negotiate with the protest leaders. The Red Shirts support former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was deposed in a coup in 2006 and went into exile rather than go to prison after being convicted on corruption charges. Thaksin is still enormously popular in rural Thailand. PHOTO BY JACK KURTZ
