11 DECEMBER 2015 - BANGKOK, THAILAND: His Royal Highness Crown Prince MAHA VAJIRALONGKORN, the heir apparent to the Thai crown, (2nd from left, red bike, short sleeves, blue gloves) leads the Bike For Dad bike ride in Bangkok. More than 527,000 people registered for the Bike for Dad event to honor Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand, whose birthday is also celebrated as Father’s Day in Thailand. In Bangkok, 99,999 people registered for Bike for Dad. More than 418,000 people registered for Bike for Dad rides in the provinces outside Bangkok and 9,805 participated in Bike for Dad events outside of Thailand. The Bangkok route was 29 kilometers long (18 miles) and traveled through Bangkok and across the Chao Phraya River into Thonburi. Bike for Dad events were held across Thailand. PHOTO BY JACK KURTZ
