He used the event to call for an end to corporate greed, to promote his Medicare For All plan, and to outline his plan to make higher education affordable and available to all who want it. Sanders is seeking the Democratic nomination for the US Presidency. Iowa holds the first selection event of the presidential election cycle. The Iowa Caucuses are on February 3, 2020.
