Lay people wait to present newly ordained monks with their robes at Wat Phra Dhammakaya. Seventy-seven men from 18 countries were ordained as Buddhist monks and novices at Wat Phra Dhammakaya, a Buddhist temple north of Bangkok, Saturday. It is the center of the Dhammakaya Movement, a Buddhist sect founded in the 1970s and led by Phra Dhammachayo (Phrathepyanmahamuni). It is the largest temple in Thailand. The Dhammakaya sect has an active outreach program that attracts visitors from around the world.
