21 SEPTEMBER 2010 - PHOENIX, AZ: Phoenix police Sgt. Doug McBride (CQ) and Detective Dave Dodd (CQ) control a man before arresting him on weapons and drug charges in central Phoenix Tuesday. Crime has steadily dropped in Phoenix over the past few years, in line with national trends. The latest number released this month showed Phoenix reported fewer 2010 homicides, rapes, robberies, thefts - in addition to other major crimes -- compared with the same time period the previous year.
