BlackFriday

24 NOVEMBER 2011 - PHOENIX, AZ: Joe Martinez (CQ), 15, was first in line at the Best Buy store on Thunderbird and I 17 in Phoenix Thursday night. He said he got in line after school on Tuesday and was in line to buy the 42" Sharp TV. "Black Friday," the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season started even earlier than normal. Many stores, including Target and Best Buy, opened at midnight. The Best Buy at Thunderbird and I 17 showed a Harry Potter movie on the side of a rented truck in the parking lot to keep people amused while they waited for the store to open. Photo by Jack Kurtz
