WatSriBoonreung

27 NOVEMBER 2012 - BANGKOK THAILAND: Krathongs for sale at Wat Sri Boonreung on Klong Saen Saeb in Bangkok, Thailand. Krathongs, which are traditionally made of banana leaves or the trunk of a banana tree, small rafts filled with food and other offerings and floated on waterways in Thailand and parts of Laos and Burma for the holiday of Loy Krathong. Floating the krathong is symbolic of letting go of one's grudges and starting anew. It is one the most important and joyful holidays in Thailand's religious calender. PHOTO BY JACK KURTZ
