14 NOVEMBER 2017 - BANGKOK, THAILAND: City workers tear down homes along the Chao Phraya River south of Krung Thon Bridge to make way for the city's plan to build a 14 kilometer long (22 mile) riverfront promenade. The city also maintains that the homes interfere with navigation on the river and pose a health a safety hazard because they are prone to seasonal flooding. Thousands of families are expected to be evicted to accommodate the promenade.
