19 FEBRUARY 2014 - BANGKOK, THAILAND: A police officer pours water over the hand of Police Senior Sgt-Major Phianchai Pharawat, 45 at the bathing rites for Phianchai. Bathing rites are the first step in Buddhist funeral ritual. Phianchai was killed by anti-government protestors Tuesday during an altercation between protestors and police. Four people were killed and more than 60 hospitalized as a result of the fighting. Anti-government protestors aligned with Suthep Thaugsuban and the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PRDC) attacked police officers who tried to clear protestors out of sites they've occupied since January.
