Mor Lam is a musical style unique to Isan, the rural, largely agricultural region of northeastern Thailand and Laos. It's been called the "country music" of Thailand. Mor Lam shows have evolved from simple concerts to elaborately staged extravaganzas. Some Mor Lam troupes have more then 250 performers - singers, dancers, musicians and comedians. A show can go more than four hours. These pictures were made at a Mor Lam show in Bangkok.
