JD Scholten is running for Congress from Iowa's 4th District, the largest congressional district in the state. Steve King has represented the district for years, but King, who has repeatedly been accused of being a racist, lost his primary this year and is now a "lame duck", so the seat is technically open, although the district is the most staunchly Republican district in Iowa. Scholten trails in most of the polls, but the race is thought to be within the margin of error in most of the polls.
