About Jack Kurtz: Documentary Photojournalist

I am a seasoned photojournalist and documentary travel photographer with nearly 30 years of experience in daily photojournalism. I not only photograph my stories, I also research and write them.

Lately my focus has been on stories related to changes in our climate and the environment, economic development in Southeast Asia and human migration.

I am perfectly positioned from my new base in Bangkok, Thailand, to cover stories throughout Southeast Asia, including changes in Burma/Myanmar and the Muslim insurgency in southern Thailand.  

I frequently work on self assigned projects in Southeast Asia, the American West, Mexico and Latin America. Most of the self assigned work is in this archive and available from ZUMA Press.
